Polutropon Games is an Indie developer focused on cross platform, open source 3D engines, and cross platform PC games, focusing on Linux and Windows.
We are currently working on a custom game engine, and we are interested in Godot.
We have a few projects planned that will came out soon, stay tuned... ;-)
Free and Open-Source software is important for us, and we try to have most of our tech open and available under permissive free licenses.
This work is managed thanks to our Phabricator instance. A few projects are publicly available here: phabricator.polutropon.games
This is the first verse of the Odyssey:
ἄνδρα μοι ἔννεπε, μοῦσα, πολύτροπον, ὃς μάλα πολλὰ πλάγχθη, ἐπεὶ Τροίης ἱερὸν πτολίεθρον ἔπερσεν
Tell me, Muse, of that man of many resources, who wandered far and wide, after sacking the holy citadel of Troy.
Polutropos, the greek adjective, means literally "multiple turns". In it's figurative signification, however, it means being shrewd, resourceful, and having more than one trick up our sleeves. In the odyssey It's is generally one Odysseus's epithet: "ἄνδρα πολύτροπον" : "this man of many resources".
This is what we aspire to be.
